The role of the Key Literacy Teacher at St Joseph's School is to provide opportunities for teachers to explore issues and understandings of contemporary literacy teaching and learning. To achieve this, the Key Literacy Teacher initiates and facilitates professional learning opportunities for teachers which support effective, innovative and inclusive approaches to literacy teaching, learning and assessment practices. The Key Literacy Teacher is responsible for the development and implementation of pedagogy across all year levels that supports the National English Curriculum.
