In All Things Love

Parish

St Joseph's School is located within the St Maximilian Kolbe Parish, Ottoway, where the Church, Church Hall and Presbytery are adjacent to the school. Our parish priest is Fr Marek Ptak.

We honour the work of the Resurrection Fathers who have served our community since 1978 and who minister to the Polish community and use Ottoway as a regional church. Many of the parishioners do not live in the Ottoway Parish although many have had historical links. The Pope John Paul 11 Hall acts as a meeting and refreshment area for the Parish after Mass. The Hall is next to the church and can be booked by the school for use when needed. The Principal has traditionally attended the Parish Pastoral Council Meetings each month and presented a written report on the school. The school organises major feast day Masses on school days with the whole school attending.

The school supports the Parish Sacramental Program, working as a team in preparing students and families for the celebration of the Sacraments. School children join the parish prepared candidates for the celebration of sacraments. Sacramental preparation of school students occurs at school and is coordinated by the APRIM.

The Parish offers Masses in English and Polish with many Vietnamese families attending the English Masses.
